Default Adding Turbo

Hey guys what up well I have a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer ES and all I have have done with it performance wise is a Catback Exaust system and a AEM Cold air intake. But just wondering I want to throw a turbo onto it about how much money am I looking at like 3 or 4K and if I go and have Mitsubishi do the work for me and put in a factory turbo witch are I think you think they will still warranty the car since they did the work and everything?

Mitsu wont do the work there is no factory turbo for that car and no way they would honor the warenty no matter who did the work on it. But your looking at about ~$4 without the install or the motor built up (that if you peiced everything together the cheap way)

yeah I know there isn't a factory turbo for my car but factory turbo that mitsu makes that can go into the car. Well I went to the dealership last week sometime and they said that they can put turbo in just any work they do they can keep a warranty on that's what they told me but before I do that I would want a written and signed contract if there gonna do that and about how much money for a good turbo and about how much horses would it put on my car?

you cant just put on a turbo there are a ton of things you need. I garentee they wont stay loyal to your warrenty because your motor is not made to handle a turbo. Im not sure on your cars specifics but most NA cars in the mitsu family can only make like ~250-300WHP before damaging the motors amd at that point you will need big $$$$ to up keep and re build.

I peiced together a turbo kit before fir my old 2000 Eclipse GS and $3500 later I wasnt even done with things I needed to buy let alone install time and that was with the intent to keep the motor with stock pistons ,rods, and cam you need a ton of random stuff in order even run a turbo remotly safe

Ohh yeah I know that, that you need to buy better and stronger parts for your car to with stand the stress and pressure that it gives on your car but I dunno think it just depends how much money you put on your too keep it running quiet good ya know.

Well you also need ALOT of misc parts like fuel injectors\ pump engine managment guages IC and IC pipes clutch manifold turbo waistegate custom exhaust and alot more crap other than that.

To make a 100% safe to daily drive and abuse car your looking at like $6-8k.

I know a guy with a 3G eclipse who just put in a race block and turbo he spent prob like $8k all together it isnot cheap

hes right you cant just take a turbo and a manifold, throw it on there and call it a day. And if thats what the dealer said they will do then they dont know what they are doing.

The dealer doesnt know what they are doing anyways. There is NO WAY mitsu would ever do this work for one let alone warrenty it after. Mitsu has a hard enough time giving EVO owners there warrenty and that is a car that is strong enough to take it and be abused all day long
