Eclipse gs... Turbo. (need advice)
ok... I have heard of this being done before and the results were nothing short of amazing, we are talking about a 2.0Lstraight 4 running at 450 hp at the wheels,
I have a 1995 Eclipse gs and I have been looking around for ways to make it a little bit quicker. I have looked at HAHN racecraft's website and saw that it was possible to turbo it...After talking to several people I have heard alot of different things about what you need to do to prepare the motor and tranny for such a jump in hp, JE pistons, turbo ready cams, Eagle rods. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction! I need all the help I can get! I have experience working on cars but not replacing all the enternals.

for that kit you dont need to replace internals but also on that kit you are only running 7 psi and barly 240hp. i'll tell you this, if you want to turbo a gs and get 450hp out of it. get ready to replace that HG alot cause 420a's are prone to HG oil leaks around 75000miles. and thats just on 140hp now imagine 300 and the extra hp gain. It's possible and you CAN get great results but its not practical. and if your going to buy all those parts to do it to get 450hp save the money and buy a GS-t and save a lil more and drop a 6bolt into it for maybe a couple grand... you can have a 450HP gs-t for around 8 or 9G or a 450HP weak gs for around 11-14g... not only do you have to get the HP to the engine but you have to get it to the road which means beefing up that basic suspension. you have to be ready to rip that engine apart cause it wont last at least not at 450. now if you only want around 300 hp get the kit, an exaust, FMIC, boost controller, and a clutch and there you go... and you'd be lucky to get 300. And if you do descide to turbo your 420a but the Hahn kit its the best. but look on turbokits.com its a tad cheaper...
goodluck with whatever you do tho. but if you do wanna set out to be diff and turbo a 420a... trade in that 95 and get a 99...
