Default FMIC

To settle conterversy with some people does adding a FMIC inturn add additional power. Even if its 1 hp does it

Well, what it does is helps cool the charge of air going into the intake manifold and then the combustion chamber. This in turn keeps knock down or out and this keeps your ignition timingup (knock will bring it down to keep from detonation). So will it add power? No, what it does is helps keep knock at bay and keeps the charged air cooler and in doing so, will allow higher timing allowing the motor to squeeze out more HP.

Sorry, your question just didn't have that easy of an answer, lol.

Oh yeah, just an example....
My sidemount heat soaked out here and with just an FMIC, I have gotten rid of it all together and my car doesn't feel as "fat" as it did with the smic. I can also run my car on mid to high boost all day long without heat soaking the IC. I don't get knock anymore...granted, it was only 4 counts at most, but it's still knock

The FMIC will add a few horses... but not on the stock turbo it wont
