I have a 1990 plymouth laser 2.0 turbo w/5speed, and a 1993 eclipse GS with a non-turbo blown motor. I want to swap the motor and tranny what else do I need to swap and how hard would it be? I am a total Newbee to this world but i have both cars and a lift so why bot right?

wtf? YES the motor mounts and tranny mounts are the same, all of the wiring is the same. All you need to do is switch the motor, tranny, ecu and all of the goddies (turbo hot/cold parts).

 

if its the 4g63 non turbo then yea

 

OK here a dumb question or 2. 1) where do i find the ECU? 2) how do i tell what motor it is as in NA4g63 ?

I mean where in my parts car I have a laser w/turbo thats where the motor is coming from so i thought i would use the ECU from that? whould that work?

 

there should be sticker from the factory under your widshield wipers(under the hood) that says DSM and it will say the engine code on it

 

That sticker is missing any other way?
