what kinda turbo, stock? Because if it is then 22 psi was way too high. You must have messed something up when you replaced the alternator. Check around for any leaks i guess. Other than that i dont know that else you could have messed up

boost leak, make a boost leak checker(pvc cap and a tap an air fitting into the center of it) pump a compressor up, and listen for the PPPPSSSHHHTTTT. Also I hope you have a fuel system.

Evo 3 turbo/ Ported polished w/34 mm flapper
650cc injectors
turbo timer
3" exhaust
short shifter
stage 2 cluchmasters cluch
greddt type rs blowoff valve
custom turbo piping
manual boost controller

check what size you intake piping is, take that mesurment to home depo, get a pice of pvc thats got that diameter as the O.D. and get a cap for one end(may also want to get some pvc glue).... btw you may want to make sure that you have an air compressor with a external tank so you can pump that up to a cartian psi. Anyway find out what size of npt thread is on the end of your compressor hose. Chances are its either 3/8 or 1/4, anyway get a brass fitting 1/4 or 3/8npt on one side and the other can be what ever size npt you want. Then tap the top of your pvc cap, thread the brass fitting into the hole(you may want to use some sort of adheasive on the threads to keep it from leaking like a 3m cauk or soemthing) then glue the pvc cap on the piece of pvc. Then attach the other end of the pvc to your intake, attach your compressor to the fitting in the top of the cap and pump her up to 30 psi. After the pump has reached that amount listen for a leak. Then fix it and get back on the road.

On my evo i had the same problem and i found one of my couplers had a small hole and after a couple of days it turned into a slit and i couldn't boost at all. Just check all your couplers. Hope this helps
