Default ok kill me now

ok i know i am new in all but before anyone says anything i have tried to use the search and i havnt found what im looking for. I have been doing as much research on crankwalk as i can. I know what it is and most people say to swap the engine. I also have read about the different tell-tail signs of crankwalk. All the post i have read (yes i tried google also) says about the clutch sticking when making a left hand turn. My question is, is there any different ways of telling if the car is automatic? Are there any different viberations or sounds?

crank walk means the crankshaft can walk or move around and the motor basically blows up. That is the basic jist of it and there are reasons why it happens

The reason you don't hear or can't find anything about an auto and crankwalk is because an auto doesn't have the same issues as a manual does. Of course you can't find your clutch stuck to the floor, because you don't have one, lol.
This quote from Tuner's about sums it up.
koolade
no clutch...no thrust bearing...no walking crank....
btw, echo was referring to 00mirage.

hah. And if a ticking noise is coming from the top of the motor.. Its not crankwalk, crankwalk will be coming from the right side down lower..

ya.. If its coming from the top, its in your head which is most likely a lifter.. Depending on exactly whats wrong with it depends on how you fix it.. Sometimes just adding oil can help it but wont always take it away completely..
