Default what's next after the turbo?

If i put this stage 1 turbo kit from roadracemotorsports.com on my 06 lancer ra, it would put me at 245hp it says. I want to get to at least 300hp or more. What would i need to do to get there after the 16g turbo kit is in?

Im not sure exactly what comes in the turbo kit. But the usual things to run higher boost are obviously a boost controller, but youll have that anyway, some type of tuning system (SAFC, ect.) better pistons and rods, youll probably need to bore out the block. Not sure how strong the heads are in those cars either so you may need to build that as well. But as you can see if you really are trying to get ovre 300whp it is not going to be cheap in that car.

Cams are not needed to build the motor up to 300hp. Thats making things a bit too complicated and too expensive. If you get the wrong type of cam grind your going to make less power. Also that would require some extensive tuning to get that right, in this case he may event need a custom made cam for his setup.

You only need to bore out the block if the walls are dammaged, other wise its a waste of money. Dont get me wrong when you build a motor you should hone the walls for a fresh surface but their is no reason to bore the block.

Before you do anything check out rre's tech articals and see what they say about a rebuild. Everycar is different, every motor rather, and each needs different things. In this case you will deff need new pistons, rings, rods, upper and lower bearings. You may need a new crank, not too sure how strong the stocker is. If you have a sohc, theres a chance that may not be able to flow enough to give you the power you need and you may have to resort to a port or possibly even a cam, but I dont not reccomend a cam set up unless your willing to pay for the dyno time and a better tuning system then a safc and some injectors. The safc is aweseom for what it does but it cant retard spark which is whats so important for a cam setup so you dont get preigntion. In any case you will probally be alright head wise, you may just have to put some stronger valves and springs in it. Like I said every car is different so its hard to tell exactly what you need.
