Depends on the mileage and area you live in.

 

As for brand I have castrol synthetic in mine and I like it better than mobile 1. I've seen castrol give better oil pressure over mobil 1 in some other cars and it's been doing a nice job in mine now.

 

Most people are brand specific. I had a webpage awhile back that pretty much said that most of this OIL stuff is pretty useless. They all protect and for the limited number of miles most of us use the oil for it is not really an issue as to what synthetic to use.


On the flip side, I have used Mobil1 ever since I got the car some years ago. 35k and that is all it has seen. That and I want to be with the Evo incrowd, lol.

 

castrol synthetic thats what i use as well.

 

I've heard some really good stories from people about it and how it brought back those cars with like zero oil pressure, even compared with mobil 1.

 

Mobil 1 10-50.

 

Since the diffrence between 10w and 5w was -5*F more, I figure 10W is good enough.
