the highest horsepower car i've driven is an m3 e92 (family members car) and i think they come with 400 something hp from the factory, and as of now im really not looking for some 1000hp car, but i do drive interstate miles alot, but i enjoy turns and road course tracks quite a bit, so if i had a supra i would be like to be able to make some good fun turns but i imagine tires and suspension will keep me planted around them unless i try and break loose, i guess for the short term, im really looking for something to eat up the mustangs and camaro's and eventually set my sites to the corvettes and other higher end vehicles, i love the evo and supra both, its just really hard for me to decide which i want more, and when you say highway driving the evo sucks, what do you mean? also i would like to know about the supra's **** and get ability, cause honestly i like to do a few redlight races here and there against other's.

Well to start the Supra will hang with vettes and beat them with bolt ons (not the c6zo6). It will OWN mustangs around town unless you find a highly modded one or a Term cobra or GT500. THe Evo will beat mustangs but have no chance agains vettes.

THe Evo sucks on the highway because at 70MPH you are around 3000 RPMs and the car doesnt have very much sound deadining. It is loud and screams and it has a disadvantage in races at highway speeds.

The M3 maybe 400HP but it is what 3800+lbs it is prob closer to 320WHP and with that weight it is not a fast car. A bolt on supra would kill that car by alot of car lengths.

To put the supra in perspective on the highway. Stock with only an intake and DP I was hanging with a friends stock 2001 6speed vette (C5 not zo6) After only and exhaust I put and easy 2 cars on him, this is a 60-105/110MPH roll and I was still pulling. Now I am running 18 PSI instead of 14 and I wish he had the car because I know it would be a 4-5 car difference now.

With DRs I have no doubt a race from a stop my car would hook and pull.

Again both cars serve different purposes. The Evo is more practicle for a daily car and the supra is impossible to daily drive unless you are in FL or something.

seeing that I only use my car for about 2-3000 miles a year the supra fits, and given the choice again I would still take the supra over the Evo.

Here is the video of my car with a full ehxhaust and intake. That is it. Racing my buddies C5 Vette. The camera is in the vette so the taillights you see are my supra. It is hard to make out what is happening cause it is dark

Well seeing the pics of your supra, made me want one even more lol and the video didnt help none, but what about the supra makes it impossible as a daily driver? i mean is there something bad about it? (i daily drive a 5 speed eclipse, small spaces and stop and go traffic dont bother me to much anymore)

Well it is pretty much a 2 seater so dont plan to carry more than one person. If the roof in in the trunk you have Zero trunk space. This car is far easier to drive than an eclipse when it comes to make u turns and all that. The turning radius is 100X better. The issue with Daily use is that they are RWD cars and with street tires on dry pavment it gets no traction so you need DRs. Now DRs need to be driven on only dry pavment. I have driven my supra in the rain a couple of times and it is possible but it is very scary and 90% of supra wrecks come when it is raining. So with that being an issue you can FORGET WINTER.

If you do not have a second car I STRONGLY would advise you against buying a supra. Everything I have just said above is based on my car which only has a MBC, full exhaust and intake and makes ballpark of 380-400WHP. Ask TheEngineer how bad street tire traction was on my car. 1st and 2nd gear were usless. I would be in 2nd gear on the highwya on ramp and punch the gas and my car would go sideways and just hit the revlimiter while the tires would just spin.

Supra is slow in these, either stock or on stock boost.

Well the trend seems to be, Most people buy Evos and switch to Supras. I see alot of former Evo owners buying supra of course myself included.

I would love to own and Evo again but nothing about it makes me want to replace my Supra for another Evo. I would rather buy both and keep the Evo as a daily driver and use the supra for only nice sunny days

Seems like the right then to do.. maybe evo first for a daily driver and eventually down the road buy a supra, what about the new evo x's are they worth anything? all i really know about them is that there softer and have the new 4b11t motor? and a bit more luxurious than the old evo 8's and 9's.. decisions descions idk what to buy now, i don't think you helped in this decision just made it harder lol

The Evo 10 is a nice car but it is very heavy for a I4 car. The motor is showing that it is capible to handle a good beating like the 4g63 did. The SST tranny in the MRs seem to break alot (nothing new the 8 and 9 MRs 6spd sucked too) They have alot of luxo options. For example heated leather seats and in dash nav system. They are nice cars and would be great DDs even more so than an 8 or 9 if you add in the luxo stuff, but the entire point of an Evo is to have nothing but a track racing feel.
