I have this 97 1.8 litre mirage ,when I hook up obd 2 diagnostic tool it reads as no codes found...now the battery was dead but it has since been charged...would that erase all previous codes ? can I test this main computermodule brain I have been toldif the brain is bad it will readas a no faults found reading any clues,mr Wizzard

 

You need to find out if you are getting spark or fuel.

So, remove a spark plug and crank it. Have someone watch the spark plug while you crank it.

If the injectors are working then the plugs should be covered in fuel after cranking.

 

Usually when an ecu goes bad you want have any communication w/ the scanner. And if the battery was completely dead it would erase the codes.
