Ya, right now it's $3.08 for 93 octaine in my little rinky dink town......I'm sereiously considering breaking out the moped that's been sitting in the back of my barn for the past 2 years. Can't argue with 100 mpg.....but it only goes like 35mph on a good day.

 

my brother is thinking about selling his 3g this summer and getting a crotch rocket for college...that will get some mpg.

 

His savings will go towards his funeral after he crashes

 

meh **** happens...if he is responsible he will be fine...my dad used to own bikes when he was young too...hes still alive. although he did wreck and break his leg lol....

 

ahhh the problem is that until scientist can figure out how to include using the actual corn stalk in the ethanol its probably a no go. As of right now, it takes almost more energy to produce ethanol than you would get out of it using it in your car...Plus, ethanol is barely half as useful as gasoline. Which means your gas milage on ethanol wouldroughly be cut in half (so it damn sure better be cheaper)....It would boost the agricultural economy in this country, but unless some advancements are made, its not gonna happen..

Ill tell you the way to go....Hydrogen....hell yea BMW...

damncapitalism....our problem is that these oil companies are prolonging any advancements so that they can bring in big bucks until the point where the American people threaten mutiny... Notice how car developers arent doing **** to try and develop new fuel source engines? Whybite thehand that feeds you eh?Every hybrid car is ugly ashell (except for the RX330h lol)...I suppose itll be interesting to see how this **** unfolds....

 

Ethonol from corn or soy produces a relativley low amount of energy when burned, but a lot of South American countries (Brazil for example) use ethonol from sugar cane, which supposedly produces a comprable amount of engergy when combusted. Don't know exactly what the mix is, but my dad said it was at just about every fill station in Macapa and Rio when he was there.
