okay whatchas think? Here is where I stand right now
sell that damaged hood and pick up an undamaged used hood just like it, or keep the damaged hood and have it painted as above to hide the blemishes

unfortunately the damage on my hood extends past the lines that were used to paint the hood like that
So this idea really isn't all that feasable. And the more I think about it. I would just be covering up a damaged hood, and again when it comes to price masking the damage on this one and picking up the damaged hood run about the same. And this way if I do decide I am sick of the solid CF look later on I can just paint it later.

Just buy a new one and be done with it. Less time, less effort, and it's all brand new. If you really WANT to paint it, wait a little while and paint the new hood. No since in having to do something twice.... the risk with used/damaged parts.
