WOW... think of the momentum and strength it would have taken to rip apart that part and break it into a zillion pieces.... its METAL, im getting flashbacks of my engineering classes now.... material resistance =/

 

Ok let me fill in the gaps here.

The car hit a truck head on... that looks about right. A whitness said the car was moving fast... but lets think about that... if he was doing 5 under the speed limit (like a lot of people do) and he passed them doing about 80 (common) then it would appear they are FLYING.

To rbeak it down, he hit a truck head on, then bounced off that and hit another truck.

If you ask me i dont think its likely that the spedo shows anything useful at all. Think about it... it slammed into a truck and then slid how ever many feet on the pavement at how ever fast. Its never going to retain an accurate reading from that... just no way.

The guy aparently was a really decent dude. He has a website of him doin all kinds of things... (reminds me of my brother a lot... just with more money) wake boarding, snow boarding.. all kinds of stuff. From looking at some of his posts around the ET forum, sounds like he was a nice guy.
