dude like I said the 80s-early 90s are the same. After than Not even close. MKIV supra 93+ no way, FD rx7 means 93+ no way the same. 91+ 300zx looks nothing like any of them. and the 2G doesnt look like any of that AT ALL either. I mean I really dont see your point. all cars in the 80s- early 90s looked the same there is no stlye at all back then. every one copied each other then the turn in the early to mid 90s they all tried to out do each other and the cars have no simularities to the older GENs at all

 

and in my point of view they do, it's an argument that neither of us will win, due to the fact that i'm right, you're wrong. you're right, I'm wrong. I see the simliarities, but you don't see them as that. Just the way it's perceived.

 

there are no simularities at all to the later gen RX7, supra, 3000gt, 300zx. if anything the 300 looks like a glory saturn thats about it. the RX7 looks more like a beefed miata and it is about the same damn size. the 3000gt and supra are much bigger cars than you think I will assure you that. they are both VERY VERY WIDE and long they are tanks I mean think about it they are both 3500+ lbs the RX7 is only like 2800lbs. the 2G eclipse maybe the hi wing looks close in shape to the supra wing but other than that they dont share much else of each other. the rear glass of a supra and Eclipse is maybe close but not close to an FD at all. the FD is very UFO like it is like the George Jetson glass on the space car he has. they are very bubble like and wrap onto the car its weird.

NESpeed actually has a stealth RT (3000gt) and had an FD , while TE had a Talon trust me side by side by side in person HELL no they are not even any simularities at all they look so far from each other its insane while in the 1G eclipse's and the FC rx7s and the MKIII supra's all looked very very very much alike it isnt even funny.

If you need to compair a supra look at the body of like a 97 celica the lines are identical if you use a little imagination. I mean the trunk line and every thing no that is a copy IMO of one two another BUT toyota make em both so go figure

 

well why are you saying they are similar when all you say is they have "very small" similarities. To me for a car to be similiar they have to really have a close body style. And of course the FD and eclipse have similiar rear window styles, they are both 2-door hatch backs . There are only so many way to design a hatchback.But they are not even close when it comes to the overall body style. I agree that the older styles all look the same. But i believe that the mitsubishi really started loosing the battle of imports when they got to the 2g. Mitsubishi decided to try and make something that was more affordable than the other companies.

 

John the rear window of the RX is NOTHING like a eclipse at all being a hatch and everything it still is shaped MUCH different. just go look at pics of keiths car after going wingless then look at all 2Gs

ya.. those arent. I would take any of them thought.. I personally think they got the 99's eclipse perfect.. Then they go and change the style b/c they couldnt get it looking any better than it did at that point

 

It took them 5 years to get the body right but they still didnt get anything else right with them IMO. they have horrible stock interior cheezy leather horrible shifter a huge steering wheel and lets not talk about the 7 bolt still hahahha. They are def very nice well the GSX's were

 

i don't know what it is then, but i still seeit as they look alike.I agreed thatthe 2g 300zx doesn't look like anything else. and yes the eclipse is the worst looking of the bunch. it's cheap, thats what happens when it gets built in illinois.

 

I think the 2Gb looks alot better than a full7 stock bodied FD RX7. the FD is SOOOOOOOoooooo lame with out a lip side skirt and rims is not even funny. they are one ugly car IMO. they dont look like a sports car AT ALL

I dont know how you can say there are any simularities really. I mean look at hte pis. The overall shape of the cars are so different the miroors or diff the windows all around are different the RX7 has brake ducts and is flat shaped to the bubble like eclipse that without even getting into interior that is WAY different and the RX7 interior is pretty bad as well. I mean the ONLY thing similar is smoth body lines which you cant count that really I mean minivans have smooth lines loo lol.
