that is the best place to take a date. We can occasionally see the aurora borealis here so i used to go a few miles out side of my home town and park my montecarlo and sit with my g/f and watch. We even went to the platetarium in st louis and complained because we could see more stars at home. The guy working waited for everybody to leave and turned off the hall lights for us. That was neat.

The only bad thing is city folk just don't get it until they have been out there. (so i do my civic duty and take them snipe hunting as their first country experience)

 

hehe...... sendin people into the woods or fields, no idea where they are or what they are lookin for, good times....... when i was in boy scouts our troop leader tried to get us to go snipe hunting, i was like yea ok....... everyone got lost and we had to go find em..... can you really see the aurora from there, ive always wanted to see them........

 

yep... it always makes the news. Then again. alot of things like that make the news. Did you hear about the f4 tornado in july that hit a manufacturing plant?

 

i think so, but i dont really watch all that much tv so it probly didnt register if i did, you put up picks on here somewhere didnt you.......

 

yesm... It was bout 3 miles west of my old house, when it hit the plant and went about 3/4 mile south. F4 tornado and it only hit 4 houses. that how sparse we are...

 

i gotta drive about an hour hour and a half to get to that kinda country........... course i can drive two hours, in any direction, and be in the middle of the state where houses are like 15-30 miles apart........ its fun doin 90-100 mph down those old country roads though.........
