it's not just the internals, meaning the needle and gaskets and all that, it's the gun body itself which cheap guns are made of softer metal rather than the cobalt or the devilbiss. and about the hvlp, i was saying that i believe all guns made now are hvlp, and as far as the gun being any good, all i saw on their webpage was one review and it wasn't helpful at all,lol i say if you have the money might as well go with a good one, and ask your shop teacher if there's any way to buy a gun through him (ie him buying the gun through the school, or if he gets good prices sumwhere), cuz most shop teachers will help you out like that
