ooo i never even thought of that... yea im willin to bet he just used an enamel instead of paint and clear coat

 

You know what, its really not even fading it more that the paint or clear-coat is breaking down, its really strange. Its almost like the base had bad orange peal andover time the clear coat settled into the pits......if that can happen. I hope it works out, if not we can just try putting a couple coats of clear in spring.

 

If it ends up getting painted again you should get something other then red... even tho it will look like **** if you dont do the door frames or the bay I think it would be full of win and flavor if it were black.

 

an long but satisfying fix is wet sand the whole car,polish it up and clearcoat over the whole thing....but its best to just repaint it....orange peal is a b*** and is a good sign that who ever did the job is a rookie (like myself but im gettin practivce and my paint jobs are gettin better)

 

well nothing really new to report. The guy was unable to meet on sunday. So its postponed till this friday

 

Is it fuscia or magenta now? LOL...I'd be pretty jacked about it.
