Default Lotus Elise Problem

Hey, my brother has been having this problem with his Elise for a while now. (see video)

Also, there is something that was not caught on camera. Around the same time this happens, the engine hickups, or 'stutters'. It is exactly as if someone opend and closed the throttle ina split second.

After reading these two things : http://www.picotech.com/auto/articles/lotus-elise.html

http://www.sandsmuseum.com/cars/elis...art_2_of_3.pdf

This leads me to believe it is either a wire harness, the IAC, or the TPS. I think the TPS is most likely. I think it is shorting out and causing the car to go into forced idle. The 2006 did not have a cable throttle.

What do you guys think?

My guess is the TPS... if it was the IAC then why does it happen under throttle?

its definately not the idle air controller. Thats odd that it will barely rev up at full throttle. i would say either a bad fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, or a ****ed up piston.

I dont think so... why would it suddenly stop happening after the car has sat for a few seconds?
