My eclipse is on the loud side for sure over the db limit. I still need to get my licens. Since its loud will they still let me use it to do the drivers test or will they not let me use it since its loud? And do i need fog lights for the driverstest?

 

Your car cant be all that loud it is NA. If you only could hear how loud my car is lol.

And no fogs are not needed for a test at all

 

I wouldnt bring that car to use on my test. They cant really FAIL you for it, (as far as I know)... but I doubt theyll be happy with it, nor will they 'overlook' problems on your test because of it. No though, you dont NEED foglights for your test, lol.

No you dont need fog lights for any reason other than aesthetics or night/fog driving reasons... they arent required by any kind of law. It doesnt MATTER about the sound your car is making... but I doubt they will enjoy it at the DMV... and theyre the ones scoring you.

 

It has to be an automatic.
They won't let you take the test in most places with a 5spd.

 

they do in cleveland apparently, but if you stall it, you fail right there if i remember right

 

in SC they will let you use a manual. also it doesn't matter how loud the car is however by bringing some kind of import (a loud one at that) depending on the person who is testing you, if they are bias towards "street racers" or tuners... they may have a negative opinion about you at first glance. i had a 89honda prelude 5 speed that had an exhaust on it when i wen to go get my license but i ended up using my dad's company car Ford Taurus just for that reason.
