All right round 2 of the work has been finished. We went out to the boat and started tearing EVERYTHING the previous guy did out of her. The desk is gone, the head has been nearly completely ripped out, and the galley area has been partially stripped down. I started on the wiring BUT it turns out I'm likely going to need to trace EVERY wire and rewire the ENTIRE boat to my satisfaction. SO I stopped working on that after less than an hour and went back to ripping things out so I can get to the hull and start rewiring in the near future.

Carpet is gone. Seat is out. The bench seat is still in place but that will likely be next week's project. Haven't dug into the engines yet since they won't be turning over until I get the rest of the boat rewired.

Anyways here are the 2nd round of pics of the work being done:

fun times.. i really enjoy tearing stuff apart and throwin out the bad stuff... it's that replacing it and getting everything back the way you want it that is a MAJOR pain in the @ss!!

Actually sadly enough, the stuff we tossed really wasn't "BAD" per se. It just wasn't usable by us. I have no need for regular plywood boards in a marine environment. It's just ASKING for rot and decay and in a hurry.

I'll be taking the crowbar to what's left that we ahven't tore out already. We're looking at some solid oak to rebuild her to how she SHOULD be. Then we'll likely be doing teak accents and trim and to top it all off and lighten the color in the cabin, a bamboo flooring to replace the decking that's in there now.

We've already gone pricing various flooring and whatnot to make the new deck. Thankfully it'll take a while to do the wiring so I have PLENTY of time to get the $ saved for the new deck.
