Default New Carpet, what a chore

Finally put in the black carpet to take out the super stained and ratty camel carpet that was in it. What a chore. The new ACC carpet was generally somewhat the right shape and size but none of the cuts and none of the stapled on trim was with it so I had to takethe carpet trimoff and reinstall using old staples onto the new carpet, dye the interior kick panels black and some of the other plastics, and cut the carpet to fit around the console and outside edges. The old carpet was used for somewhat of a guide to get started but because it was not exactly the same form it was only slighty usable as a template. It is somewhat heat formed but not very well like the old carpet and the carpet pad underneath on one side was correct but on the passenger I had to cut some off and modify it so it was not sitting on the rail braces that the passenger seat sits on. The lady that owned the car before us was a barista and I think she must have spilled a drink a day. New carpet looks great though in contrast and matching the doors and center console, especially looking at the old carpet with the many huge stains. This thing has cloth camel seats that are weather stained and was thinking about dyeing them black as well as the cloth inserts on the door and the rear sail panel, maybe Tuesday. Anyone else dye their cloth seats?

I've thought about it, but I'm too afraid of it coming off onto my clothes, lol.

I've dyed gray leather seats before out of a Lincoln Mark VIII that I put into a '67 Chevelle and had great success. I was more worried about eveness of the dye.
