Default New Quarter Mile time for my buddy

For some of you quarter mile racers familiar with my buddy's Chevy Luv, he went 9.91 yesterday with a 1.37 60' time. Not bad for a truck that you can drive on the street with 87 octane and 92 octane for the races. At the cash bash we went home afterthe second race, got the red eye, he was up against a 17 second car and was trying to hold with the trans brake real long and the tranny didn't like it. Waiting 7 seconds after the other guy takes off seems like an eternity.

that's funny. When i went for my 9 second Licencse. I ran the 4 times down the track with my 550ci BB chevy Nova, 8 years ago. That was my first "official track car". Only my tranny was a 12 bolt 373g TH-400.

I was still with the whole mentality of " manual is better". Trying to prove others wrong. But when your young, your nieve.

Anyway , the car sounds great. You should post videos of it. To bad i only have polaroids of the nova back in the day. They didn't exactly have digital cameras everywhere like now.

tell you buddy i said good job.

Gus
