i wonder if it would make it faster... something to try i guess.. if you can find a 6 speed tranny that will bolt up to it

 

Usually, the time spent shifting, is more than the gains you get from the shorter ratios.

i dont think there are any that bolt up to the eclipse 4g63

 

They have an issue w/ the timing chain tensioner/timing chainrubbing a hole in the front cover.

 

Sorry ive been gone for so long... Well anyways, i got a buddy with a 240sx thats just AWSOME. Id suggest gettin it for the time being.

 

my dad and my brother have had three between them two. two manual and one auto, the manuals engine started to knock, and the auto's tranny went out, so there you go

 

alright the 6spd talk ...SHUT UP.... its retarded seriously it is lol. why the hell do you want a 6spd? I hate when people say that because its just to say "i got a 6 sd" its not that cool. and seb even the shortened gears are not a good thing.. Ever see and STi or Evo MR in action it is quick funny to watch. Ever wonder hy MR guys swap in a 5 spd? most of the MR owners bought them only for the 6 spd now they are taking them out. THEY SUCK. the supra, 3s, vettes and some other high end cars its different they have longer gears. Short gears suck who wants to make a 1320 pass in 5th gear? that is a whole lot of slowing you down shifting.

No offence but saying lets put a 6 spd, is one of the most ricer over used comments in the world and it bugs me so I have to jump on it. Just because its 6 gears doesnt mean its a good thing... in most cases it doesnt.

 

Mike, take it easy. Not everybody knows that so don't be bashing them. TACT is the word i think i'm looking for.

JP i can't believe you really asked this question.... 240 is one of the most well known cars in the tuner world. Yes they are good cars, yes they can make good power. Swap a sr20 into it and ur good to go, its a VERY simple swap which can be done withing 4-5 hours. You can also swap a rp25 or rb26 into them but IMO they are not worth the money just to say you have a skyline motor.

 

I would definitely get it . Those cars have some serious potential.
