why would you want to go that fast anyway. thats just plain stupid IMO. and there is NO way in hell you are gonna be able to do that on the 1/4 because that would require well over 1500 hp. john shepherd doesnt even run 200 mph in the 1/4

Dude I watched a supra race a STi. Now the supra was 730HP and the STi was 600 or something like that. they went from a dig. littereally the STi smoked the supra off the line but half track what happend? the STi was in 6th gear already and the supra was walking by very very hard and only in 4th gear. personally I would much much rather sit at like 1500-2k at highway speeds to rather than the Evo in 5th gear at 64 im at like 3500 going 80mph is at like 4400 that is just plain annoying because the car is wikkid freakin loud too and kills gas ect ect.


The quick cut gears are only made to help assist in autox and road course. Long gears are better for straights and highways. No one say you ned to do 200MPH and sheps tranny is most likly not running stock gearing. I think the fastest the tranny will allow on Evos is like 180MPH when pushed to its limit. You dont need to go that fast but having the longer gears will help go straight

 

no im just sayin cause in hatchet's post he called it the 200 mph gear. my bad, misunderstanding. i thought he actaully wanted to go that fast with the gearing that way. but ya i guess it would be helpful to have something like that if you wanted to save some gas.

 

or just not listento the car lol. My cars sound goes right threw me. its killer.

 

lol ya. i guess i cant really talk from experience, my car does like 3k at 80 mph lol. but ya i do know what you mean. my buddy's talon does the same thing at those speeds, not quite as high tho

 

awww jp i could so see you rockin out in a 240. they're pimp, you can drift, go fast, and i've never heard of one that was unreliable and I know a ton of people that have them. I even know a guy that owns a shop that does nissan engine swaps and he does A BUNCH of them. They're pretty rad.. just make sure it has paint lol.. that seems to be a pretty rare thing on the 240. my best friend has one and his is primer/ flat black, but it's still AWESOME.

 

i do auto body shop at my school...paint and and rust are the last thing on my mind for ANY car
