So last year I was hit by a car while I was walking and ended up damaging almost all of the ligaments in my left knee. I don't know how many of you know this but I was previously enlisted in the army. I'd taken the test already and was just waiting to get sent off for training when it all happened. The Army ended up telling me not to bother that unless I could come back when I made a full recovery then I would never be able to pass the physical given by then. For awhile I thought I'd never get in, but then I figured that in about a year or two if I worked as hard as possible, I'd be able to make it.

Well it's been acting up for awhile now, so I ended up going to the doctors today around three and he told me I've got tendinitis. Which doesn't ever really go away. I'm being sent to another Orthopedic Specialist to see what can be done, though the only thing I haven't done so far it surgery. I've been through Physical Therapy, been through the MRI's, everything. So it really hit me that a lifelong dream I've had pretty much got thrown out the window. I could really use some cheering up.

I crushed 2 vertibra in my back and burst one of them coming like MM's away from being paralized from the waiste down. and I am not supposd to play contact sports and all that jolly fun stuff. Ya know since I was a football player all of highschool and wanted to play semi pro. My back hurts at times. mainly rainy days but ehhh its life for me I guess. So I can relate in a sence

 

If it makes you feel better... I didnt get into the marines because of a knee condition i was born with... I had passed the ASVAB with a 72 and passed everything else.... I was taken down to MEPS and was almost done when they find out bout the condition and I got dicualified.... Sucks... So I can kinda relate.... My dream was crushed too

Sad to hear that. I have somewhat of a problem in my knees as well. My muscles in the knee were never really strong so my cap would dislocate when i was younger. I ended up getting orthoscopic surgury and having 9 bone fragments removed from my knee. I used to play soccer but after that i cant even kick a ball without it hurting. Thus i took up golf

Apart from that... im really sorry to hear about all this. And all the other **** that has gone on. I feel for you girl

Ok so all the post whoring in this thread has been completely deleted. Ya so all those posts you guys thought you had have been erased off of your total post count as well. This is a serious thread show some consideration some of you, because I will contune deleting if I have to. It looks like we got a few members threating the forums like it is AIM once again. Take them into PM or AIM so we dont need to say random **** in a thread. and clutter it up. because it was not easy to read threw here and make head or tails of it

 

Yeah, not to speak on her behalf but things have been really hectic these past few weeks. Hopefully things can get better now that she got a new job.
