this has always been in my plans no matter what kind of car(s) i drive up until i get it. it will also be a long process to build this car b/c it will be pretty expensive. i dont' see why everybody gets on my case... sorry i change my mind so much but it's better than getting a 20+k car and then wondering if the other car would have been a better choice.... u just like to be 100%sure of what i want before i get it...

HAHA, i dont plan on it.... but it does need new brakes all around, and i went to change the front today, ive never had such a hard time doin brakes in my life, there not even done. but then again i was limited to 1 socket set but DAMN, its rusted together. i cant get one of the calipers off, and i got one off but cant get this bracket off the caliper that i have to save.... such a mess, on the eclipse it was SOOOO much easier, it was take it off nice and smoothly and replace. but this is a tricky task. good luck to me tomorrow when i have access to a zillion tools. lol

 

That engine looks like a variant of the 1.5ltr in my girlfriends old 91 Civic LX.
Just a few differences like oil cap location and alternator location.

 

hha you had trouble changing the brakes??? they must have been rusted all to hell b/c my Del Sol was the first car i've ever done brakes on and i think it took me all of about 30 mins for both sides.

 

yea, thast how my eclipse was.... but ive probly spend 2 hours on just the front 2 that are not even finished yet..... but im about to go work on the agan and now i have alot more tools to use....

 

i think all i needed was (after pulling the wheel off) a 14mm socket, wratchet and a flathead to pry out the pads. used a c-clamp to push the piston back in and wala. done.

 

i know how to do the pads ez. but im replacein the calipers and rotors too. and i cant get the brackets off the calipers.... cant get one caliper off, and its just pissin me off... i didnt even try the back, i already gave up. and now the brakes dont work at all cuz i had one line unhooked and now i gotta bleed them. do i start farthest away from brake fluid resivoir or closest, i cant remember...
