Playstation 3 - November 2006 - Official press release
I'm not a playstation fan myself, so, this may be old news to those of you who are... But for those who have not heard, Sony has put out an official press release stating that they will release the PS3 world wide (ie, Japan, North America, and Europe) in November 2006.

I left Playstation after getting Xbox ver1... once I get an Xbox360, there's no way I'll look back. lol. The only thing that peaks my interest in PS3 is the new BlueRay disc... with 50gb of storage there's no telling what kind of games can be made. As for the system itself, games, and controller... no no.. I'm sticking with Xbox.

I am a PS fan myself. I am really a big Madden fan and I am so used to the controllers that I stuck it out. I like the 360 but, I am going to wait to check out PS3

The only good thing about PS3 as opposed to 360 is the new Cell chip made by Ageia. It will cause real life reactions from interaction between multiple objects or liquids on a massive scale. Most chips like Intel or AMD can handle about 30 - 40 objects interacting simultaneously at the same time. Now, take that to about 32,000 - 40,000 and that's where the new cell chip will operate, not to mention it will have a physics chip to help. The new PS3 GPU will operate at around 1.8TF that's 1.8 trillion calculations per second. It will be like playing a DVD movie. But, I' like XBOX anyway.
