well, i'm probilly going to give you most educated answer so far, depending on your set up, its really way to broad to tell. I will give you as much information as i can, and you make the educated guess:

As for a 2006 gto, they come with the LS2 6.0 engine, averaging out 400hp, and 400ft lb torque. Now these numbers may sound intimidating, but the GTO is an extremely difficult car to drive because of it's unsteady power band, horrible tires it comes with, and light rear end. At the track, the everyday driver will lay down a mid 13's pass, with potential to do alot more. Make sure this is a STOCK GTO.. If it has upgrades not visible to eye, such as computer work or secret jet lines and hidden bottles, beware. LS2 can handle nitrous very well, and could easily be sprayed with a 150-200 shot when traction is obtained.

As for early 90's camaro with the vette engine. That's really tough to even estimate because you dont know the specifications of the engine. For all we know it could have a C5 LS1 5.7L , on a body that weighs 2900-3200 pounds. It's really to vague to assume. I wouldn't be to worried if your anywhere near the 300 fwhp range in a light eclipse (compared to a gto and cammaro).

Ofcorse none of these specs matter if the driver isn't well trained. If your confident in your driving and have gripping tires, i suggest you run the from a dead start. This way you have the advantage of a less horsepower car, in a lighter shell. And dont have to worry about being restricted by top end. Rolling isn't really real racing, but the young scene enjoys it, thus alot of people do it now adays.

I really wish you the best of luck, and im looking foward to watching the video. Dont be afraid of loosing, and the end of the day, it's only street racing. Have fun

Gus

EGO? if somebody has an ego over a 420a than something is wrong. the fact that i was stating smart *** was that i don't care who i race and don't care whether iwin or lose. i'm always expecting to lose therefore when i win b/c either i'm a really good driver or they aren't so much of a good driver, it makes victory so much better lol.

oh no, i didn't take offence to it, i took it as a joke... oh trust me i get crap for my car just about every day from my regular car guys b/c i have the 3rd slowest car in the group. 1 being a 88 ford ranger that only comes around once in a while and 2 being my friend's broke down SRT-4 lol but when it gets back on the road and tuned it'll be close to 450whp (mustang dyno). so it's all good.
