possibly the shorty comes with an intermediate pipe where the long header comes as one long piece. i'm not familiar with the 4th gens at all but that's my hypothesis lol

yea they run a 3-2-1... they come down as 3 on each side then convert to 1 each as it goes under the car then comes to 1 pipe right where the cat would be.... so basicallythe Ripps long tubes replace all the way threw teh cat section

ahh yea i see now. well the cat is the most restrictive part of my system but still i cant give up my sticker being an every day car atm. i may have to go w the shorties from rre. they are a great company anyways, or atleast have been with me. then i can replace the last cat w a high flow. def. wont be as much hp as ripps headers. probably cut it in about half.
i shouldnt even be thinking about this yet. i need to lower her first. i dont know if you seen my tire gap but i can almost get my head in there lol.

yea man lower the car. I lowered the Evo and man I am happy I did. it looks so muh better and feels more responsive in cornering..

Your car "might" not pass with the shortys on too. I am not sure but it might trigger a SES light

lowering is def. next on the schedule. but when i do it ill have to make sure i have enough saved for an allignment and camber adjustment. all of the 4g'ers say it feels great lowered and they never have problems w tire wear. but then theres always that one guy that says his suspension is f'd up and his tires are bald because of springs. i guess every aftermarket part is a gamble on a car this new in some way or another tho.
