So take a look a this

no, i got that part....but I'm curious, he could have adjusted his fuel/air mixture, right? or he could have an ethanol injection system or something as well, right?
this is the air intake for the turbo compressor? is that correct?
I'll admit, I'm not getting what you guys are all going on about. I don't see how this is causing the engine to necessarily run leaner unless this is attached in between the carburetor and the intake manifold.

I dont think so either like sebba said the chrome and silver bent up filter sittin on the intake on the right of the MAF should not be there if i am thinking correctly that is the vaccuum tube that runs to the intake manifold and it is a dumb move to put that filter there thats not how the intake was designed now if he would of correctly sealed it that would be ok and than ran the tube coming of the intake manifold into a filter or a catch can than it would be ok but i made that rookie mistake way back in high school yeah its n ot correct you start running your engine too lean by pushing more airflow and less fuel and like i said running lean is in terms faster but that should be done in the computer through your air/fuel ratios not just by adding filters now if i am incorrect please correct me that is how i understand it

i had a breather filter before my maf sensor...it made my car lean and stall out....i took it out and the thing sounds great...idles a lil more than it did stock but performs great and my MPG is alot better too...the way his is is the same way i had mine.....learn mby experiance...in otherwords....u can buy the car....but that breather needs to COME OUT!!!!

RE: So take a look a this
no, the deal is that air filter is on after the maf sensor... which means the engine will be getting more air than the computer realizes... thus it won't compensate with enough fuel for the air/fuel ratio... and thus the engine will be running lean 'cause there will be more air than fuel in the mixture...
