I am going to take advantage of this Off Topic area to ask a VERY off topic question.
Mostly this question is for anyone living on the East Coast.
Have any of you Eastern boys/girls heard of "Hookah"?
this may be a dumb question, but i was told it was just a SoCal thing. I just wanted to see if this was true.

hahahaha Bong. Well technically it can be used/considered a bong. But no, I'm not talking about pot smoking.
Hookah is a form up smoking tobacco. There are Hookah Bars all around San Diego. You go and pay a small/high fee (depending on location) and you sit around with friends. The tobacco is flavoured many different flavours. Orange, Apple, Mint, Chocolate, Strawberry, etc etc etc. I've heard its not as bad as smoking a cig cause there's not as much tar involved, but they could be blowing smoke up my ***. Sorry for the pun.
It gives you a nice little buzz. Nothing horrible and is very smooth.
Personally I am not a cigarette smoker and hate the stuff. I'm not really big on the hookah scene either. on the slim occassion i'll go out with friends and try it.

Hookah's are a midle eastern thing. As in India type thing. That middle east. They have places where you go and do the same thing you described. The hookah is designed for tobacco.

ya, i knew they were a middle eastern thing (i wouldn't trust the san diego people to think of an idea like that). But if we just look at the United States, I don't know of any other place besides So Cal that the hookah is so popular
