There ISsuch a thing as "good rap". Its just not what you see on mtv. I've heard some really inspiring lyrics from certain rap artists.
Also, a good chunk of rock bands have a front man who writes all the lyrics. The rest of them just play along. Granted they ARE incredibly important to the success of the band, especially if they have very talented musicians who can make amazing riffs(dimebag), crazy drum solos(portnoy), or can slap some insaaaane bass down(jaco pastorius). But what im saying is as long as they write about something actually interesting and original, a genuinethoughtfrom their own mind thatthey want everyone to hear, i will listento it...If its someone trying to state the fact that they are thebiggest pimp, have the biggest rimz, ormake constant rhymes about how much money they have, then **** THAT.
