well, some of you know i have a 92 accord with a few mods on it. runs like a champ and everything. But its kbb is like 1.6k.... I got an offer on a straight up trade for an eagle talon awd turbo. The side mirrors were ripped off it though cuz the parents got mad at the kid and they step dad just went out and ripped em both off. But also, its not runnin right. He said he just messed with the boost controller and it started runnin bad. also the front bumper dont match the rest but it is in good contion and ready to be painted... What do you guys think?

This is just adding some extra info on both cars....

My ACCORD - it has small mods on it like intake, headers, 10mm spark plug wires, customexhaust,and the vtec is hooked up to a button. also it has tinted windows, lowered suspension, new tires, auto sunroof and windows,17" rims, and cruise control.

His TALON - not many mods at all, just intake really, comes with fmic but its not on cuz turbo is stock, custom 18"rims, brand new springs and struts, has a nice boost controller (i think its greddy something type 2 or something), and a new stage 3 clutch. Also his is a 1995 or 96 and it DOES have the 7-bolt unfortunatly

its a clean car, its a realy nice blue color, and the engine is clean, but it does run like ****. Is there like anystandard setting on the boost controller i could change it to just to see if it runs better? (ive never owned a turbo so i have no idea how to mess with the boost controller btw, but it is right in the car on the dash and looks like it wouldnt be hard to figure out)

 

Run a compression test just to rule out an engine problem, how many miles are on the car and how does the trans shift? 3 or 4 bolt rear?

If he wants just a straight up trade then that car must be having some major problems, I agree with sebba stay away.

 

hes a friend of mine and i know it ran great when he got it. Ive ridden in it and everything and i loved it. but he suddely has problems and he said its from messin with the boost controller... it wont even start up good and he said when he took it to get it checked out it was runnin way to rich and it floods quick. He just replaced the struts not to long ago and its a pretty nice car all exept this whole runnin good thing, lol...

 

well it still runs.....like a said tweak with the engine and it could be fixed....but do what you want...
