I also have a love/hate with the "Bat Mobile" When it is waxed I love it. Somedays you see a lot of little things that can be done to make it better. It always feels good when a total stranger rolls up and says nice ride dude. What I hate is my car is slow and I just can't dump the cash in it I need to make it fast. Plus the "Bat Mobile" is an insurance replacement for my 2000 Siver GT. that was my baby and I am reluctant to start all over with this one.

My wife was modling in a fashion show this weekend and I juost installed my turbo vents and I have the ride waxed looking good and this damn 89 Porsche parts right behind me and I was like damn now thats a nice ride.

 

Well I can kinda see your point in knowing the person but I work in sales too at a Ford & Mercury dealership and in the car business as-is means AS-IS...selling someone is fun and you get to meet a lot of different and nice folks out there....I am now training to be in the Finance Dept.

 

Well there seems to be something wrong with my car ALL the time. I fix one thing something else goes wrong. I just did a throttle body rebuild hook everything up and start her... Injectors are leaking... Torque down harder on the cap and the secondary stops leaking but primary still loks moist...

 

The first car I owned was an 1989 Honda Civic Wagovan. A cross between a wagon and a van. Never heard of it? There's a good reason for that, lol. Anyway...picked it up for $1000. Engine was in great condition, but the interior of the car was ****ty. The people ripped out the old carpeting and put in their own. White carpeting, in a family car. There were stains everywhere, candy stuck to seats and under seats and just the whole thing was nasty.

Got all that in your head? Good. Now for the extra humor/hate part.

Step one was remove the carpeting, and install the old factory stuff, found some at a site that I was going to re-install. So I take out all the old carpeting, only to find out in the process that the old owners were total dumbasses and used roofing nails/staples, pounding/stapling them right into the body of the car. At one point they went right through some of the wiring. However, and this is funny, when they went through the wiring with a nail, the nail was able to complete the circuit, so you couldn't tell there was any problem. Then when removing the carpeting, I of course removed the nail.

Ever take your car to a mechanic and tell him it's not running because you took the carpet out?
