Glow Plug Warning Light on Mitsubishi Grandis Warrior 2.0 DI-D (June 2007)
Coming home from work today, the light above came on, flashed a few times, stayed on for 10 seconds and then went out.
I think it is something to do with Glow Plugs - the light on the dashboard display was yellow / orange and the picture that lit up looked like a spring.
Do I just give the DPF a blow out by going for a fast motorway run? I normally only do a 12 mile urban commute each way to work.
Thanks
PS: 5 year Service is due in June, mileage is 47,500.

it could be brake sensor
I know it sounds crazy but I had a similar problem.
I had my coil light flash even when engine was running, I called AA who had not heard of it before but as the DID engine is VW he checked them and found the coil light flashing means no brake lights and he was right I had no brake lights the problem is the switch that sits just behind the brake pedal it simply slots in and turns to lock but in the heat it can move out of position slightly and cause this problem,
If it happens again try turning off engine and twisting the pedal switch out and then re insert and twist to lock off. Make sure you get the switch in the right place or you could force the pedal and cause your brakes to bind
I purchased a new switch lug that the switch sits in in the hope that it would permanently stop the light coming on but alas occasionally when it is very hot I have to pop out the switch and relocate it again.
