I have a fuel problem of some sort with an 05 lancer. Its my girlfriends car and wouldnt start originally. Had previously been running fine one day and nothing the next.

There seemed to be no power getting to the fuel pump, running a hardwire from battery to the pump the car can be started and seems to idle perfect until you put your foot down sharply and it hesitates for a second then revs fine at any range. Also drives fine until any load is applied and starts spluttering.

any ideas or advice would be great before it gets sent to the auto electrician.
