Default 2000 rpm idle!

My friend's car just jumped time and bent 8 valves. I put on a rebuilt head, new timing belt, water pump, tensioner, a/c belt/alternator belt/, all new gaskets, radiator, thermostat, and gave it a little shot of freon.

The car was running perfect for me after I completed the work. I ran it through several cycles of getting it up to operating temperature and cooling back down, and took it for a test drive. Everything was perfect. She took the car and a little while later she said that the idle was jumping up to 2000 rpms. What could cause this? It should be back here in a little while, and other than checking for a vacume hose that may have slipped off I don't realy know what to look for. It is not throwing any codes.

Thank you for your help!

Vaccum hoses would be the first thing i would check as well. Other than that possibly a sensor that didnt get plugged back in.

it sounds like a vacuum leak or check the tps sensor its right on the throttle body and on my 3000gt its adjustable to just try monkeying with that first since it's easy
