Have had it for about a month and check engine light is on with code p0455.my gas cap is tight.I went as far as putting light coat of grease on cap ruber and tighten till 3 clicks heard and checked filler nozzle for grease transfer, no signs of any leaks.the filler neck underneath has severe rust.no noticeable leaks.I'm a diy guy and have access to snap on scanner, limited use with it,is there a evap static sysyem test I can run without having to wait for ecu to run its test and hopefully notice something in a blink of an eye? And is there a common concern with these? Vent solenoid...purge solenoid? Wire concern? Any help would be appreciated.

 

Typical crap for a 10+ year old vehicle.

I would take it somewhere and have it smoked, that'll show where any leaks are.
