hey everyone was hoping some of you knowledgable people may have come across this problem. my mother in laws carisma d.i.d broke down on the dual carriageway. my girlfriend was driving and she said that it lost power then got better then stopped and wouldnt start. using an old snap on scanner its faulting an oxygen sensor, which isnt going to stop it running. unfortunately the scanner wont give me any engine info, fuel pressure etc or freeze frame. ive replaced the fuel filter in case it was blocked, checked if it has an in tank pump doesnt seem to have. being very careful iv slackened off an injector pipe and cranked, looks like im getting only a very small quantity of fuel at the injectors if any. but what i have noticed is that an electric solenoid above pump (fuel metering? regulating? cut off?) buzzes constantly when the ignition is switched on, wouldnt expect it to make that noise. anyone come across this causing a problem? thanks in advance
