Default Outlander 2008 2.2 Diesel Turbo - No Signal to Injectors

Hi All not a mechanic but had a couple look at it and looking for ideas.

My Outlander drove perfect and parked up went to start it the next day and it wouldn't start. RAC came out and diagnosed it as no fuel being fed to the engine. I have replaced the uplift pump located under the rear seats and now diesel is getting to injectors. The fuel system has been bled. A mechanic used a tester and said there is no pulse to the injectors. He looked at the fuses and said that they looked ok. Suggested replacing the crank shaft sensor as a start.

I will replace the Crank shaft sensor in the morning. I would think (not being a mechanic) the sensor would trip an error code but there is no error code.

Does any one have any ideas if this would be the fault or anything else to look at?

Many thanks.
