well thats your opinion. things break. everything does. even your evo will break eventually. when things break you replace them. you can't expect much from something more than 13 years old.

 

why is 99 the only good year? The only difference is exterior

looks 10000x better than any other 3000 made, its no wonder everyone swaps the 99 spec front all the damn time.


All I am saying is I would NOT buy a 3kgt unless it was a 99 that is just me. rarity and looks combined in one. plus I would go for the most stock model you can find

 

all of the random goodies these cars have break and they are all a pain in the ***** to fix. the AWS models always get a power steering leak in the rear and you need to drop the entire rear assembly to fix. active aero is pointless it seriously moves what an inch on the front bumper and angles the wing. your not gonna be driving fast enough on a street to take advantage IMO unless your retarded

 

Ok... its still an awesome car. What models dont have the AWS? Wel i have given my reasons for buying a modded one... its going to take a little more than just a personal preferance to get me to change my mind. Obviously if i had 20+k to drop into a stock car... and spend 10k modding it sure i would do it... but i dont. I have like 20k total.

 

like i said ur opinion. im not arguing with u about things lasting. im just saying that its all about preferance with these cars. theres no best model. they were all basically the same speed and quickness, with exeption to the 96 or 97 model which was probably the fastest. the 91 to 93 started it all and is awesome bc of that. the 94 and 95 came out with a hard top convertable vr-4 and sl. and the 98 and 99 are cool bc they're rare. all the models were cool in their own way, but you can't say one sucked or they all sucked and this one was the best bc ur wrong. its not true. its all about preferance.

 

i think the the 91 vr-4 looks every bit as good as the 99 and the 99 is stilla 2nd gen for those that don't know....3si for the most recognises that there is 2 generations of the 3000gt....91-93 and 94-99...and the 91-95 had active aero btw.

Also yall are forgetting bout the stleath R/T/TT They are cheaper and look damn good...

 

So your telling me the 1G models are well built? those motors are pretty bad man same with the 5spd in the VR4. They spin bearings way to easy granted they upgraded the bottom end in the 2G model. All I was saying is looks wise and rarness Id only buy a 99 I never said anything about the 99 being superior to the others it is the same car it just looks better and is more rare than other years except 98.

Sebba I wasnt telling you what to do I was saying what I would do. when you buy a car modded you never know how they were put together. atleast when you do it you know exactly what it where how it is put together. and you know that atleast if the car was driven hard its not putting out alot of power so it cant be to beat.
