FS: 1g dsm 2.0L Non-turbo head 31k orig miles
i have for sale:
a DSM 2.0L DOHC head. it came out of a 92 eclipse GS, which is the non-turbo.
the head has 31k ORIGINAL miles on it!!
$300 shipped OBO!!!
the story behind the head is this:
it's from my cousin's car. when his car got to 82,000 miles the timing belt snapped and of course destroyed a lot of the valves in the original head along with the guides. he took the car to a mechanic who told him that he needs a new head. so what does my cousin do? he goes to the mitsubishi dealership and buys an ENTIRE BRAND NEW HEAD!! from the stealership!! i know, what a moron, he shelled out something like $1500 for this new head. but anyway, so he had his mechanic install this brand new from the dealership head onto his car at 82,000 miles. then come winter, his car had 113,000 miles and he decided to wreck the car on black ice. he had the car towed to my house, where i stripped it and sold the parts. so do the math, and you'll see that the head has 31k miles on it, original miles. this was 3 1/2 years ago that i stripped the car. i never posted ebay auctions for the head or the block, or the complete motor for that matter. so now i am finally getting around to attempting to sell the head. it has been sitting im my garage completely wrapped in plastic and cardboard for the last 3 1/2 years. it's still dirty from when i first took it off the motor, but there is ZERO corrosion of any kind. just dust and oil from it being on the car and from when it was pulled
pics to come soon after i give it a quick cleaning.
btw, i know i have very few posts on this forum, so im classified as a newbie. i am an active member on www.preludepower.com, mainly in the 3rd gen section. i currently have 2,274 posts on that site in a year's time, and a trader rating of 7 (means ive recieved 7 positive feedbacks from sale transactions) and a reputation score of 86 (meaning 86 people have left positive reputation ratings for me for information i have posted on the site). my ebay id is crluver123, and on there i have 100% feedback with feedback from 63 different buyers and sellers, and 129 total number of feedbacks. obviously meaning i had several return customers. i also have 43 verified transactions through paypal.
^just so you dont think im comin on here as a newbie that noone knows tryin to scam people for money. check it all if you feel fit.
