Civic vs Gs-T

RE: Civic vs Gs-T
If you are running larger tires than stock, with no mods you will be running a slower quarter mile time because it takes more torque to run a larger tire the same revolution. With high spinning and little torque motors you need to get the final gearing up higher than stock or make more torque than stock to go faster with larger diameter tires than stock size.

Before I bought my Evo I had a 99 Civic Si and was going to do a 210 horsepower B20 swap. So, if he's putting out 210 horsepower and doesn't have a turbo there are two ways, if he's telling the truth, he may be getting that much horsepower. One, he swapped the B20 head with the higher flowing B16 head and ECU tune, or two he got a really expensive port and polish job on the head he has which I doubt.

The stock b20 in the crv isnt vtec. if he has the vtec head thats about 25-30 extra horses. from the looks of the picture he has an after market intake manifold and possible throttle body which is good for about 10-15 horse, intake test pipe? header exhaust about 15 horse. thats about 190-205 horse power on that car if he has vtec. he weighs probably 400-500 pounds less than you do. if he has good tires and a limited slip you might lose. The motor sitting in the picture doesnt have vtec though.
