No gears working!?!
Somebody please help, I have a 2000 2.4L straight gear eclipse. Recently, when I'd step on the gas, the RPM raises all the way to red line but the car isn't going faster, one night went up hill and was going 25 in 4th gear so I stepped on it, but it didn't go anywhere, so I put the car in neutral, and cut it off and back on, tried to put it in gear but they all acted like they were locked up? Finally got shifter in a gear but it was acting as if I was in neutral. Cars runs great, no leaks or problems leading to it, please help!!

After I cut it off, and back on, the gears were going into place and I could hear them going where they should be, but I'd press the gas and the car just acts like its in neutral, I assumed the clutch works since my car turns on but then again I don't know if that's just a sensor that turns it on or what

There is a clutch safety switch that will prevent your car from starting but that's electrical and has no impact on if your clutch is working or not.
I've never actually owned a manual so I'm not expert on the subject but if it feels and sounds like the gears are engaging and just no power is going to the transmission I'd say it's more than likely the clutch... The pad could be worn out or it could be stuck in a position where it's not transferring any engine power to the transmission... How many miles do you have on this car and when did you have the clutch last serviced?
