I was driving my eclipse and it would buck everytime I shifted gears, then it died. After it sat in a garage overnight I tried to start it, and it took a few seconds but started and ran. After that it ran fine but took 5-8 seconds to turn over. THen it died again a month later and did'nt start again. Someone said to replace the fuel pump, so I took out my back seat and put a new pump in and still nothing, but i noticed a lose wire going to the conector on the top of the pump so I wired it it better and still nothing. Thats when I check the relays and saw that the engine fuse was blown, so I replaced the fuse and it started up after 3 sec of cranking probably building the pressure back up. It idled for a while so i pulled it out of the space and stopped and when I tryed to pull onto the road the engine fuse blew when i gave it gas and let off the clutch. Now the fuse pretty much blows as soon as I try starting the car. Any ideas or anyone know of any common thing that could cause this? It is a 95 GS MT.

 

Is the car stock or is there a lot of aftermarket stuff wired in?

 

Only aftermarket thing i got that has wires, would be my dvd player which wires in the same as a cd player.
