Okay so I have an '07 Outlander, V6, 2wd with a bad starter. Actually it was missing one of the starter bolts which explains the grinding noise I was getting while trying to start it up. I took it apart to clean it up but one of the brush housings broke; anyone know where I can buy just the rebuild kit with the brushes and a set of starter bolts? If I knew what size the missing bolt was I could probably just buy one at the local store. I checked RockAuto and eBay to no avail. Trying to save a little money if possible, it's such an easy job, would hate to just replace it...

 

Update to my previous post, couldn't find that inexpensive rebuild kit, dealer wanted $80 for the rebuild kit and $700 for a starter but I was able to buy an aftermarket starter from RockAuto for $100 so I just replaced it.

The bolt I had to buy from the dealer for $16 shipped but it turned out to be too short to thread in from the transmission side so I bought another one from NAPA for $2 but it's not a grade 8 bolt so hopefully it doesn't give me any problems. Hope this helps someone else here
