Default Axle shaft compatibility

Good Day All: I recently bought a 2001 Montero Sport XS 3.5L RWD (4X2) with drum rear brakes. I've already been using this board to access lots of great info and experiences to sort out a long list of problems that came with the MS.

The MS came complete with a bent left rear axle shaft that I need to replace. I do have a question - does anyone know if the rear axle shafts from a DRUM brake equipped MS 4x2 (3.5L) is compatible with a DISC brake equipped MS 4x2 (3.5L)?

Also - does anyone know if the rear differential is a locker or limited slip? Thanks to all for all the great info.

Default Rear axle shafts

I spoke with two Washington State Mitsubishi dealer parts departments today. Both say the left rear axle shaft for all two wheel drive (RWD) Montero Sport vehicles equipped with a 3.5 L are compatible/the same/the same part number.
