anyting else i should do?
hey, i bought my clutch today
when i took evrything off, my flywheel was OK just needed the shiny layer taken off from the bad clutch, i went ahead and took advice i was told and used the 220grit wetdry and 400grit sandpaper and perfected it, it is smooth as can be.. i was just wondering.. is there anything else i should do while i have it down so i can save taking it down again?
OH and, you guys say 6 or 7 bolt flywheel.. is that just with the 2.0 cuz mine is a 1.8 and i only have 5 bolts holding the flywheel on.. There are 6 holding on the clutch and pressure plate but only 5 bolting up the fly.. is that normal?
thanks in advance for any help/info

it was perfectly smooth, i just wanted to get the little residue or whatever you call it off. im replaceing the TOB Pressure plate, clutch and of course oil... also gonna change the engine oil in it, i bought some better oil today..
sebba is absolutely correct, you need to resurface the flywheel, not so much so it can be "smooth" but for it to be level, and maximise clamping for of the pressure plate.
Take it to a shop where a machine resurfaces it, or buy a new one. If the heat checks are too deep, and theres a ring from the pressure plate, it might be too late. Hopefully your sandpapering didn't etch into the flywheel.
Good luck
Gus
