ALWAYS replace the tensioner when you replace the timing belt. The what $30 it costs for the tensioner is WORTH NOT spending the $300-$400 on a head job

it bent two valves because of it and what not. yha so i watched them replace the tensioner and the belt and the valves. they said the tensioner was "good" when they put it together the first time, and then it went bad

I still say don't pay for it, cuz obviously it wasn't totally good if right after you got it back it broke. [:@]
