idleing too high

ok my 1g gsx was idleing yesterday at 800-1000rpms, just normal, and today it was between 1200-1900 rpm, idk y, but my oil is BLACK, but can that have anything to do with it?

Mine idles that high when its really cold. Change your oil too.

oh... well you need to change your oil. When ever your oil is not a golden/brown you need to change it. You can ajust your BISS screw that is under a plastic cap on the throttle body. Its very very very common. Try searching a little.

thanks, but a quick Q', how does it just turn up on itself? and do you have any pics of where this screw is.

did you do any mods before the problem started? you might have a boost leak that will cause a high or low and bouncing idle

Mayb a boost leak, ill ask the shop, but I know I need to do a oil change because it is pitch black, and my oil gauge is usually at L to the first notch but now its rising to like the middle and going higher

nvm lol, i went to the shop and they found it was a broken wire.
